SCULAB   is a research group based on South China focusing on environmental issues caused by urbanization and climate change,  including the research,  design and planning of landscapes across the South China and Southeast Asia.  All of our research and work emphasizes the link between human health and environment, and the climate change and resilience of landscape,  to help us better understand how to proceed with designing around our living environments for more sustainable and healthy outcomes.  Unlike conventional practice,  there are no styled limits in our prospect,  projects are defined by the extent of problems or challenges being addressed.  We coined the term “Research-Based Design” to describe our approach to projects,  which assesses various environmental and human factors to produce systematic knowledge that can be applied to create new design thinking.

SCULAB是一个立足于华南地区的研究团队，专注于城市化和气候变化所带来的环境问题，包括从华南地区到东南亚地区的景观研究、设计和规划。我们所有的研究和作品都着重于人类健康和环境之间，以及气候变化和景观韧性之间的联系，以帮助我们更好地了解如何设计出更加可持续和更加健康的生活环境。与传统实践不同，定义我们作品的不是风格的限制，而是需要被解决的问题和挑战。我们创造了“基于研究的设计”这一术语来描述我们的设计方法，这种方法依靠评估各种环境和健康因素以产生可被用于创造新设计思维的系统性知识。
